Granite Borders Landcare Committee - Annual General Meeting 2026

27th Jun 2026

Notice of Annual General Meeting for Granite Borders Landcare Committee

Saturday, 27th of June 2026 at 11am

Liston Community Hall, Liston, NSW

Annual General Meeting

All current Granite Borders Landcare members and Landcare groups are encouraged to attend.

We also invite our members to consider standing on the Executive Committee. Serving on a Landcare Committee is a unique and sometimes challenging experience, enabling you to assist and provide direction in environmental restoration, regenerative agriculture and community resilience building. A role on the Granite Borders Landcare Executive Committee provides you with the scope and support for professional and personal growth and you can contribute according to your own personal skillset and capacity. Our Executive Committee meets once a month (preferably in person, but remote online attendance is available). These meetings are substantial and, accordingly, achieve a lot. They enable our Committee to stay connected, keep abreast of projects, input into our design and strategic directions, participate in governance and Human Resource Management and maintain project and operations continuity. You will get to know other likeminded Volunteers with a diversity of backgrounds, talents and qualifications.

Nomination forms are available in the Landcare Office, as well as here on the website.

Please reach out to the Landcare Office, Monday to Friday, 9am - 4pm, to nominate yourself or someone else.

General Meeting.

A few of our Landcare groups will present on their activities.

Our guest speaker will be Tamar Cohen, who has been the Project Lead from our joint Cane Toad Program activities. Tamar is one of the Landcare Coordinators from Border Ranges Richmond Valley Landcare Network (North Coast Regional Landcare Network). Tamar has at least 8 years working in the cane toad space for Landcare - for further information, check out their overview at: Cane Toad Control on the Containment Line. This is very important background knowledge and experience for GBLC and its staff to learn from, and it has been an incredible first season of involvement on the Cane Toad containment line, which is now reaching to the eastern parts of Tenterfield Shire.

Tea, coffee and a light supper provided.

Registrations close: 5pm Tuesday, 23rd June 2026
