Tenterfield Nesting Box Project - Film

20th April 2020

This project will deliver positive environmental outcomes as Australia’s fauna is particularly reliant on hollows for shelter and breeding. These hollows are now a highly limited resource in Tenterfield and the surrounding area due to the devastating bushfires in early 2019 that decimated thousands of hectares of native vegetation. This project will provide nesting boxes, hence habitat, into fire affected areas in the Tenterfield Shire Council area. The supply of nesting boxes from this project will be on both private and public lands with particular focus on high conservation value areas.

This initiative is being funded through the Australian Government's Communities Environment Program.
