Guest Presenter - Executive & General Meeting

Friday 25th August 2017, say GBLC put on free refreshments and guest presenter to welcome its members along and thank them for being part of the organisation!

The venue was the Wallangarra Railway Cafe, which provided both the Executive meeting (held earlier in the afternoon) and General meeting attendees with scrumptous local produce and tasty nibbles.  Some red wine and bubbles were in order while catching up with each other prior to the formalities of guest speaker, Ivan Lackay (NT LLS) and GBLC Generla meeting.

Ivan travelled from Inverell to attend this meeting as the newly appointed Project Officer for the Northern Tablelands LLS "Trees on Farms" incentives program.  Ivan was well received and briefly outlined his role and the projects across the Northern Tablelands.  Some keen interest was shown in the NT LLS Bio-equipment which is available for loan, including a grass seed harvester.

Ivan's presentation was interesting and informative and was well liked by the members, unfortunately Ivan had to rush back to Inverell for an early morning coaching clinic for a local Inverell football club, just showing his comitment to community.
