Farming Carbon Workshop

Granite Borders Landcare Committee partnered with Carbon8 to give a workshop for farmers and land-owners on farming carbon and offsetting carbon farming emissions.

The workshop day at Liston Hall was well attended, with 30 participants. One common outcome from the workshops was that participants would focus on soil health and investigating the carbon levels and biodiversity in their own soils. The workshop created an interest in soil carbon properties as well as understanding of carbon markets. There was also notable interest in additional Regenerative Agricultural practices as well as a field trip to sites that had had successes with Regenerative Agriculture and soil carbon recovery.
