Living Soils our INTRODUCTORY Workshop
Healthy soils are living soils.
Join us for the launch of the Living Soils project, a nine-month practical learning journey exploring how farmers and landholders can build soil biology, improve soil function and support more resilient pastures and landscapes.
At this introductory workshop, you’ll discover:
-
the Soil Food Web and the role of biology in healthy soils
-
Indigenous Micro-Organisms (IMOs) and their use in soil repair
-
practical composting and compost extraction techniques
-
landscape rehydration and biological approaches to soil improvement
-
how MicroBiometers can help measure life in your soil
-
how you can take part in upcoming field trials and field days.
Living Soils will follow two separate demonstration sites at Woodside (Tenterfield) and Ballandean (Queensland), giving participants the opportunity to see biological soil practices applied and monitored in the field.
You can follow one site or both, attend individual activities, or join us for the full journey through to May 2027.
Start the journey with us on 2 October 2026.
WHEN: Friday 2 October | 9am–2pm
