Landscape Rehydration - Mulloon Institute
Northern Tablelands Local Land Services and Granite Borders Landcare Committee bring you the first of a landscape rehydration series by the Mulloon Institute, the Introductory Field Day.
What are the Mulloon Institute Landscape Rehydration and Regeneration Learning Programs?
Mulloon Institute is supported by the NSW govt. Environmental Trust and have delivered a number of field days with Gwymac Landcare in Inverell with much success.
The Introductory Field Day
The Mulloon Institute introductory Field Day is a great way for participants to gain a functional understanding of a farm's water cycle and our approach to rehydrating rural landscapes. Participants will learn how to identify processes that are influenced by a farm's geological and hydrological features and diagnose the health of a landscape. The field day explores a range of scientifically grounded tactics and strategies - including natural structures - that can restore and optimise a farm's water cycle.
Please register soon as places are limited and they will go fast. Given the nature of landscape rehydration, this workshop is for landholders who on properties larger than 10 acres (4 Ha). The workshop will cost $33 and will be delivered at Steinbrook Hall on Friday, 17th October from 8:30am - 4pm.
