Landcare Week 2026 (3 - 9 August) / Our Trees for Halls Project

3rd Aug - 9th Aug 2026

Landcare Australia's Landcare Week, acknowledges the Australians who are actively restoring, enhancing and protecting the natural environment in their community.  This year, Granite Borders Landcare is partnering with two local Progress Associations in our Trees for Halls Project.

Join us for these two complimentary community tree planting workshops for a hands-on session; learn practical skills in planting, protecting, caring for and monitoring native plants whilst simultaneously enhancing shared community spaces.

In addition to beautifying the landscape, these plants will provide habitat for native wildlife, improve biodiversity, help reduce erosion, moderate ground temperatures and contribute to healthier, more resilient communities.  More importantly, these sessions are about the community working together, sharing knowledge, strengthening social connections and helping the community prepare for future challenges.

Whether you're an experienced gardener or simply interested in learning more, come along for these light-hearted morning sessions, meet like-minded people and help create a greener, healthier landscape.

Morning tea will be supplied so please ensure you RSVP by 31 July 2026 and choose the session most suitable for you.  Book online using the following link     Trees for Halls Projects - RSVP       or by calling the office (02 6736 3500) or email: admin@gblc.org.au
