Land for Wildlife (ongoing)

The Land for Wildlife (LfW) program is a voluntary property registration scheme for landowners who wish to manage areas for biodiversity and wildlife habitat.

Granite Borders Landcare Inc. has been delivering Land for Wildlife assessments in Tenterfield since March 2024. Granite Borders Landcare became involved with the Land for Wildlife (LfW) program through Community Environment Network (CEN), after being connected through networks and some investigative research in late 2023. GBL Inc. quickly realised the benefits it brought to their regular operations, as well as to the local community and natural ecosystems.

PLEASE NOTE: The LfW BCT Grants for the 2026/27 period have now been fully allocated. Each application is carefully assessed for eligibility in the order in which it is received. LfW members are encouraged to continue submitting their applications. New submissions will be placed on the waitlist and considered for the next financial period as funds become available.
