*Free - Outdoor Walk-about for Weeds

27th Apr 2023

Join Granite Borders Landcare and our experts in Tenterfield Park, Derby Street as we walk and talk all about weeds…

This is a MUST HAVE SKILL for ALL LAND CARERS.  We will learn:

  • Different weed identification techniques
  • How these weeds might impact on our native flora & fauna and even our primary producers
  • The identification of ‘typical’ and readily found weeds in our region (and what are our priorities….)
  • Best practice methods of control: how to control ‘identified’ weeds safely & effectively and what permits are required
  • Discussion on essential tools for the ‘shed’
  • Useful techniques including monitoring & resources that are available locally and online
