Drake Progress Association have organised the Drake Great Cane Toad Event, an information session on Cane Toads in the Eastern parts of the Tenterfield Shire. This coincides with the recent Cane Toad surveillance and management works activities that Granite Borders Landcare have secured with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, as well as the Cane Toad Control Handbook, which was a collaboration between North Coast and Northern Tablelands Local Land Services and three Landcare Networks, including Granite Borders Landcare.
Accordingly, special guests will be Lisa Wellman (DPIRD), Emily Hegarty (NT LLS), Granite Borders Landcare and Drake’s own Cane Toad Management Experts. Free copies of the Cane Toad Booklet will be available to participants, as well as a lovely morning tea spread by the Drake Progress Association.
