Deep Listening to Nature - Walk

24th Aug 2024
Deep Listening to Nature series: Walk.
This is the second and final event in our Deep Listening to Nature series. Following his talk at the School of Arts on Friday evening, Acoustic Ecologist, Andrew Skeoch, will walk us through the local soundscape of Curry's Gap. Tune in with us for this meditative walk on Saturday morning, the 24th of August. Andrew will help us interpret the sounds that we observe, explaining what they reveal about animal behaviour, evolution and natural ecosystems. We can take this opportunity to ask his advice on nature sound recording techniques, equipment choices and field skills for capturing clear recordings.
A bus service will be arranged, due to limited parking at Curry's Gap. This will leave from the Landcare Office, 45 Martin St, Tenterfield, at 8am.
Location: Curry's Gap, Tenterfield, NSW.
Times: 8:30am - 12:30 pm on Friday 23rd August.
You can nominate whether you need transport on the online registration form, or please let us know if you are booking by phone: (02) 6736 3500.
This event is free and light snacks will be provided.
Please see separate event post on Andrew Skeoch's Talk to book for the Friday evening talk on Deep Listening to Nature.
Come to one, come to both and take some time out to listen deeply to nature.
