Cut to the Chase - butchering demonstration
21st Nov 2026
Learn a skill. Share a feed. Meet a mate
Ever wondered how those familiar cuts of meat that we so willingly enjoy at home on our plates are broken down?
Join Granite Borders Landcare and JLN butchering for a practical, hands-on demonstration covering the basics of butchering. We will identify the different cuts and learn tips on making the most of the whole animal.
But this workshop is about more than learning a new skill. Held in the spirit of Movember, men's wellbeing and International Men’s day, it's also an opportunity to get together, have a yarn, meet someone new and enjoy a relaxed afternoon with others in our community.
Meet us at Tenterfield Men's Shed at 205 High Street. Registrations start at 9:30am and the demonstration starts at 10am. We'll finish around the BBQ, cook up some of what we've learned about and share a meal together.
No experience necessary – just come along, learn something useful and enjoy some good company.
Free to attend – however bookings are essential.
